Students are asked to complete about 20 minutes of French homework each night.
Here are some of the recommended activities:
1. Review les MOTS DE LA SEMAINE! The google doc is updated every week with important vocabulary that we are currently studying. There are also important words like numbers and les prépositions in their red duotang to review. (time - 3 min)
TIPS:
- Try make cue cards with visuals or a google slide deck with pictures. Add your new words and go over them regularly to help enhance their comprehension.
- Watch the videos attached in the NOTES section below the slide to hear songs or lessons tied to those words.
2. Read an assigned book on RAZ-KIDS in French through the student portal . (time- 5 min)
TIPS:
- Use the automated reader to listen to unknown words and proper pronunciation.
- Complete the comprehension questions at the end to verify understanding.
3. Work on activities in BOOM LEARNING or on DUOLINGO! It is recommended to get 10-15 minutes of activities done at least 3 times a week to help support learning happening in the classroom. (time- 10-15 min)
